This route is dedicated to visit the emblematic places of the island of Tenerife such as El Teide and the village of Masca, with no more preamble than the charm offered by driving on secondary roads to reach these destinations of unparalleled scenic value:
Las Cañadas National Park with the volcano of El Teide and its panoramic views of another planet, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO; and then travel the winding road that leads to Masca, a former farming village, located between the ravines.
The excursion begins with the gathering of all the travellers at the agreed meeting point; access is also possible from the south; then we start our adventure going up to El Teide along the "green roads" until we reach the forest crown and enjoy the lush pine forest and its aroma; as we gain altitude, we can appreciate the change of enviroments to volcanic spaces with their range of colours and textures.
Along the way, key stops are made to take photos with views and also to stretch the legs a little, have some refreshments with the opportunity to go to the toilets.
Once our visit to the National Park is over, we head towards Santiago del Teide via alternate routes passing through a couple of picturesque villages in the south to take the narrow winding road to our next destination, the village of Masca, where we stop for lunch.
We continue our return route between mountain passes and old roads until we reach the other side of the island again, where we start our descent towards the sea, visiting one of the most beautiful villages in Spain: Garachico. We continue along the very pleasant coastal road until we reach the end of our route.
