This excursion is about visiting El Teide from the south side of the island, starting from our base in Topacio Buzanada, where we meet up to take our motorbikes and set off westwards, passing through roads between spectacular and very little travelled ravines, to our next stop: a prestigious cheese factory.

On the farm we will have the opportunity to see the goat herds from which the milk comes, and also how the cheese is produced, which you will be able to taste and see for yourself why this cheese factory has won world awards for the variety and quality of its cheeses. Of course, you can also buy a piece of your favourite cheese to take home and enjoy the authentic canarian flavours.

We keep going on our route through the villages of the west of the island until we reach the main road leading up to El Teide; stopping along the way to stretch our legs and walk to an old Guanche cave, which is very interesting.

Continue on to the National Park, key stops are made to enjoy the impressive crater of Las Cañadas, where you can admire various rock formations that owe their name to the capricious shapes created by volcanic eruptions, such as the Roques de García. It can also be reached from the north side of the island.

This National Park is located in the centre of the island at 2000 metres above sea level and declared a World Heritage Site in 2007 by Unesco, along with the volcano of El Teide, the highest peak in Spain, represents one of the most valuable natural treasure of the whole country.

Then, we arrive at El Portillo, on the way we stop at a viewpoint in an area that, due to the similarity of its surface, take us to planetary places such as the Moon or Venus.

We return along the spectacular Cañada to Vilaflor, the highest municipality in Spain, to reach a hidden village, famous for its homemade food, where we have lunch to taste the typical Canarian cuisine.

We then quietly made our way down to our headquarters in Buzanada, the start and finish of a route that has left us with a good taste in our mouths at every stages.
