Just a few days ago, the First Test of the OSADOS TrailBook Championship concluded, and the prevailing feeling is one of pure satisfaction and gratitude. With approximately 40 brave participants and an organizing team composed of 6 people, we embarked on an adventure that has left us with wonderful memories and learnings.
The preparation process for an event of this magnitude is arduous and meticulous, requiring careful planning at every stage. From initially plotting the route on the map to turning it into a detailed roadbook, each step demands time, effort, and dedication. Using tools like Google Maps, we ventured to mark the most picturesque and challenging places in the southern area of Tenerife, but the task didn't end there. On-site review of the route was essential to ensure the safety and feasibility of the driving, correcting any unforeseen circumstances that may arise, such as verifying that the tracks were not closed, prohibited, or non-existent, as they could have been overgrown due to lack of use or rain, making them in very poor condition and very difficult to navigate.
The organization of the checkpoints was also crucial. Deciding where to locate them and assigning tasks to the team required careful logistical planning. Each member had their role, from administrative checks to capturing unforgettable moments through the camera lens. For example, this time it was my niece Cris and me who took care of the administrative checks. Susi and Mercy were the official photographers of the event both at the start and at a key checkpoint. Foli was in charge of giving the theoretical explanation of the roadbook at the meeting point, and Richi along with Cris, again, who had already finished the administrative checks, indicated the start to each participant.
Personally, I had the privilege of traveling the route, marking waypoints and sharing moments with the competitors at the checkpoints. The excitement and fellowship in the air were contagious, reminding us on many occasions during the Test why we dedicate ourselves to organizing events like this.
The success of the Osados TrailBook Championship would not have been possible without the enthusiastic participation of everyone involved, from the Brave participants to the dedicated organizing team. Every smile, every shared anecdote, and every gesture of support drive us forward, strengthening the bond that unites us as a motorbiker community.
As we bid farewell to this First Test, we cannot help but look forward with excitement.
Sharing these moments with motorbikers who support us and with the dear family of the OSADOS Trail group is what drives us to continue organizing events like this and many others that we have been carrying out for all these years with renewed will and passion.
To continue training and learning from this hobby that unites us so much.
To all participants and collaborators, my sincere thanks!
See you on the next adventure!
With gratitude and enthusiasm,
Eduardo Naval
